"Absent without leave" means the signed minutes of a meeting held while they were on council neither list them as present nor excuse them, and no similar name appears that day, so misspellings in the minutes don't count against anyone. Each square links to the minutes.

Thank you, Madam Speaker. As you would hear, the proposer had requested that we put the motion into the table so that council either vote otherwise and let the community decide whether or not through the public participation. So I'm noting and requesting that we put it to vote. Thank you.

Thank you so much, Speaker. Councillor Harris and all the councillors who have made the input, I will indeed escalate the inputs to MMC Kunene. We welcome those inputs, and I will also tell him to be like the MMC who's responsible for City Parks and Zoo. Thank you.

Thank you, Speaker. Good afternoon. Deputy
Councillor Shumba, I need to listen to the MMC.
Good afternoon, Speaker and councillors. I would also like to greet the residents of the City of Johannesburg. And I would like to congratulate Bafana Bafana.
Mina esami niyasibona mosi? Sibhekene kahle.
So, but in hindsight, Councillor Shumba, the question
ya Small Street,
it was a question
ya boikobelo,
not
ya gore batho ba tsamaye. Wa bona, rona
we foster social cohesion in the city because we are a city that also is a custodian
ya bofaladi. Wena o batla go ba tsamaisa, o ba tsamaisise.
I would like to perhaps, through you Speaker, advise my fellow friend, Mazibuko, to say in life there's three types of people: and one is an optimist, the second one is a pessimist, and the third person is a chronic complainer. So, an optimist is the one who sees good
in bad. So, we appreciate our shortcoming as a city, and we believe that in line with the 11 strategic priorities of the Executive Mayor, since we came from Lekgotla of the Executive Mayor, the EMT Lekgotla, we have a line item and a plan to resolve the challenges that we are facing as the city.
Remember we are a city of gold that is better than Cape Town. We are a city of the gold and the beautiful. So, we need to write our story as the city by appreciating our shortcoming. And Councillor Harris, you'd know that this is the only city that has, in the whole of Africa, we have facilities
that we can celebrate, the state-of-the-art facilities. The Bafana Bafana that you saw playing yesterday, they came from one of these facilities in the City of Joburg, which is we need to take pride because we are celebrating Bafana Bafana as a product of what we are custodian of. Councillor Coogan, thank you so much.
In our area of development, we'll definitely identify the concerns that you've raised. And in so doing, I would like to ask council to note the report. Thank you, Speaker.
