Counted vote: defeated, 99 for, 112 against · Names CARENVALE, which the City's ward list puts only in Ward 85
A motion that is deferred appears again at each meeting that dealt with it. Outcomes as printed.
How items are linked to this ward (no AI makes a link on its own): the text names "Ward 85"; or the ward's councillor says "my ward" while they have the floor (who has the floor is an AI reading of the transcript, checked against a quote); or it names a place that the City's 2022 ward list puts in this ward and no other. Every place-name match was read by hand; false friends (a street or person with a suburb's name) are excluded. A ward number in the text always wins over a place name. A promise also links here when a City document matched to it (by AI, then checked by hand) puts the project in this ward; AI matches nobody has checked don't count. Places that span several wards (Alexandra, Diepkloof, Orlando, most of Soweto) link nowhere, so this page misses items about them.
